1.0.0 Initial Release

Hello! It's been a while since I uploaded anything to itch, but now is as good as ever! I had the idea for this game for a good few weeks now and made it this past week, and it turned out way better than I expected, so I thought I'd share it! I'm going to go over all of the parts of the game here, so if you want to play it blind, which is what I recommend, don't read this! This post is going to go over everything included in the initial release, so it'll be a bit long I guess. I won't go into the specific stuff for each attachment like reload speed or what each upgrade gives, but I can always do that another day.

As enemies go, we have circles, darts, squares, and motherships. Circles are the simple ones, they move towards you at a normal speed and are the most common enemies. As they upgrade their health gets higher and even some upgrades increase their damage, but that's about it. Darts are the speedy ones, they come in fast and deal a small amount of damage, which will slowly chip away at you if you aren't closer. As they upgrade they get faster and increase their health and damage, but not a lot for the latter. Squares are slow and somewhat tanky, but when you take them down they split into 2-9 little squares that are much faster. As they upgrade the amount they split into gets bigger and the little ones are faster and deal more damage. The motherships come around every 500-250 enemies and are bosses. These guys will circle around you slowly getting closer, dropping a group of enemies in to attack every 10 seconds or so, so deal with them quickly if you can.

With those out of the way, I'll go into each attachment, they are mostly balanced but some may be subject to future changes. When you upgrade them they simply will shoot faster, from 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x as fast, but there is a single exception to this rule. You can only upgrade 4 times.

  •  Shooter - Basic attachment, the one you start with, shoots a bullet every second, ol' reliable. Unlocked from the start.
  • Orbitter/Orbittal - Both are pretty much the same, they shoot curving bullets that will orbit around you once before spiraling outward. Only difference is orbittal shoots to the left while orbitter shoots to the right. Unlocked from the start.
  • Scatterer - Quite simple, it shoots a spray of three bullets. Unlocked from the start.
  • Twister - Shoots bullets that will move in a serpentine pattern. Unlocked from the start.
  • Firework - Shoots a bullet that explodes into more small bullets when they hit an enemy or go out far enough. Unlocked from the start.
  • Tracker - Shoots bullets that home into enemies nearby. Unlocked at 500.
  • Builder - Builds a wall that can protect from some damage that will last 10 seconds. Upgrading this will increase the wall's size, durability, and duration, up to 15 seconds. Unlocked at 500.
  • Blaster - Like a shooter but faster and with faster bullets. Unlocked at 500.
  • Randomizer - Shoots something idk. In all seriousness, this will shoot out a random projectile or on very rare occasions build a wall. It can do the same things that every tower can do. Unlocked at 1000.
  • Gattler - Rapid Fire shooting of smaller less accurate projectiles. Unlocked at 1000.
  • Bomber - Shoots homing bullets that explode into more bullets. Homing on it isn't as good as a tracker, and the explosion isn't as big as the firework. Unlocked at 1000.
  • Cannon - Shoots bigger bullets that are slower and deal more dammage. Unlocked at 1000.
  • Twins - Like a shooter but twice. Unlocked at 1500.
  • Orbittrix - Like an Orbitter and an Orbittal but a package deal. Unlocked at 1500.
  • Seekers - Like a tracker but twice. Unlocked at 1500.

Other things to note, the game starts to cycle near the end, it'll keep getting harder for a while, but theres a cap to how fast enemies can spawn, same with how much enemies upgrade. Similar to attachments they go through 5 levels: grey, orange, green, blue, and purple. Each one is better than the last. Also, I don't currently plan on adding more attachment types, as adding more can hurt gameplay, making it harder than it already is to max out attachments and I like 16 as a number.

Have fun playing the game! I love feedback so any kind is appreciated! Sorry if this was a bit lengthy!
